Almost half way between Springfield and Lebanon, Rockwood Family Dental sits along historic Route 66. Take the Marshfield exit off I-44 at mile marker 100.
Following Hwy 38 (Spur Drive) SE through town, turn left onto Hwy CC at Casey's General Store, then left at the Dollar General toward Conway. You are now on Historic Route 66 and our clinic is approx. 2 miles North next to Whispering Oaks Golf Course and Marshfield's newly announced Activity Center and Community Pool.
This portion of Route 66 is also called Hubble Drive named after the famous American Astronomer, Edwin P. Hubble who was born in Marshfield, MO in 1889.
Dr. Rockwood's office sits on the highest elevation of Route 66 for a 900 mile stretch. Previously known as Trask's Place, the original one-story building was built around 1930 and used as a filling station. It was later renovated and renamed the Skyline Café. It housed a quaint eatery along 66 and was also home to Marshfield's Airport and Golf Course club house.
In 1962 the Marshfield Country Club officially acquired the old building. Due to the number of hungry golfers at the club house, the club house invited Sheila's Place restaurant to move in from its location in Elkland. Sheila eventually out-grew the location and she moved her growing restaurant to a larger building off the Spur.
Following the construction of the new Club House across the street, the original building sat vacant for a number of years until Dr. Rockwood purchased the property in 2014. The years of vacancy had left the building in poor repair and it was finally time for it to be taken down to be replaced by Rockwood Family Dental.

We accept most traditional insurance plans, contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. Rockwood Family Dental does not participate in Health Management Organizations; however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. Please visit with our Financial Coordinator for details.
